Accounting Manager:

Westhaven’s Account Manager will join a lean high-impact Finance team, helping to build out this function for an exciting high-growth business. You will have accounting and financial reporting responsibilities across all business lines and departments. You will enhance our financial reporting to provide management with insight into financial performance by business and develop the necessary systems.                                                          

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administer and ensure proper coding for all documents; processes and systems.

  • Monitor general ledger, accounts receivables, accounts payables and other records.

  • Manage monthly journals, update entries and maintain fixed assets.

  • Prepare bi-weekly commission reports and provide payments to Payroll.

  • Prepare and document sales tax and payroll tax and their filing.

  • Ensure efficient client services and provide support to administration staff.

  • Assist Accounting Manager with all financial data, including: reports; budgets; cash flow and projections.

  • Provides the highest level of customer service our customers, vendors and employees.

  • Embraces change, new ideas, and solutions.

  • Review all contracts/leases.

  • Coordinate with management and recommend improvement in quality of accounting and provide operational support.

  • Contribute to department efforts by accomplishing goals within Westhaven Solar’s standards.

  • Reports to Accounting Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting or other similar major.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience, some private sector experience is preferred.

  • Top-tier Excel skills, with demonstrated ability to manipulate and analyze high-volume data sets.

  • Ability to pick up and run with an existing process, while also assessing and providing suggestions for process improvements.

Physical requirements:

  • Sit, stand or bend for extended periods of time.

  • Be able to lift up to 30lbs.

  • Look at a computer screen for extended periods of time.

  • Repetitive use of hand and wrist using a keyboard, holding a pen/pencil and/or filing of documents.
